Sykes Pumps are used in mining, construction, industrial and environmental sectors throughout the world. Whether dealing with wastewater or freshwater, acids or caustics, solids or abrasives, diesel engines or electric drives, Sykes Pumps will meet all of your operational needs.
The standard Sykes product is an end suction centrifugal pump with a fully open impeller, enabling the pump to handle solids as well as liquids. The low side discharge outlet ensures easy pipe connection. Other configurations are available for specific applications.
All pumps are available in Spheroidal Graphite Cast Iron (Standard), Stainless Steel (Standard) or Hard Chrome Alloys, allowing the pumps to perform a wide range of duties and functions. All components are chemically compatible with these three casting options.

Sykes Pumps are self-priming and do not require manual priming of the suction line or filling a priming tank in order to begin normal operations. In addition, the pumps can run dry for extended periods because of an oil bath mechanical seal assembly which allows priming with long suction hoses and suction lifts of up to 9 meters (28 feet). As the fluid level fluctuates, the Sykes Pump will 'snore' until there is enough liquid available for the pump to fully re-prime itself automatically.
The typical assembly combines a Sykes Pump with a variety of diesel engines on a trailer or skid base, complete with an integral fuel tank large enough for 24-hour continuous operation. A wide range of standard or custom fuel skids, trailers, drivers, pumps and controllers are available.
