In accordance with the company motto of "the customer services company" Trakindo provides various types of Product Support for customers. Among other services are the Component Rebuild Center, the Maintenance Program, the Specialized Workshop, and the Customer Support Agreement (CSA).
 
One of the recent forms of CSA is the Total Vendor Maintenance program (TVM)
 
TVM Contract with Pertamina EP
TVM contract is a cooperation agreement between Trakindo and Pertamina Exploration and Production (Pertamina EP) which covers Preventive Maintenance (PM), Planned Component Replacement (PCR), Top Overhaul (TOH), General Overhaul (GOH), up to troubleshooting the entire armada of Caterpillar equipment owned by Pertamina EP in Indonesia. Currently Pertamina EP has 572 CAT units (314 units in Sumatra, 132 units in Java, and 126 units in the East Indonesia Area)

On August 19, 2009, as a part of the TVM implementation, Trakindo and Pertamina EP held a Kick Off Meeting attended by the President Director of Pertamina, EP Salis S Aprilian; the Manager of Pertamina EP Engineering Management, Achmad Hidayat; Senior Manager, Product Support Marketing, Nengah R Jamena; National Sales Manager, Marwan Affandi; CSA Supervisor, Pucky Santoso and P&S National Account Sales Trakindo, Handi Satria.
 
The long Process of putting together this TVM started in 2006 as explained by Achmad Hidayat in his speech at the Kick Off Meeting. In early August 2006 Pertamina EP and Trakindo signed an MOU.
 
After conducting discussions and following up various other related processes, the job order to implement the work was finally issued on August 3, 2009. Three days later, the contract was implemented. “The Kick Off Meeting” was held to provide further details on TVM.
 
"TVM is a comprehensive contract which aims to improve quality and maintenance procedures, to make this program be relied on for the smooth running of production operations," Achmad said.
 
According to Achmad, one of the TVM objectives is to establish a new operations culture and to increase production. Salis S Aprilian commented in a similar vein that:  "Maintenance is very important for keeping up the production level," Salis said.

During the period covered by the agreement, Trakindo will conduct all maintenance for the CAT units owned by Pertamina EP, so that Pertamina EP can concentrate on its core business.
 
Preventive Maintenance which will be carried out by Trakindo, covers routine maintenance (daily, monthly, and annual) pursuant to the unit maintenance cycle. Another type of service included in the TVM is Predictive Maintenance. This stage is conducted to predict possible damage after 4000 working hours by conducting several procedures, for example oil sampling analysis, boroscope, and vibration analysis.
 
"What will be done is not only preventive maintenance, but we also change the pattern into predictive maintenance. By doing predictive maintenance, we will know when the maintenance needs to be done, with real-time monitoring," Salis said in her opening remarks at the Kick Off Meeting.
 
According to Salis, TVM is one of the changes that will be carried out in order to achieve Pertamina EP’s objective of becoming a world class oil and gas company by 2011.
 
"TVM is a  form of strategic partnering between Pertamina and Trakindo.  If we want to move forward, one way of doing this is by partnering with experts in their field," Salis said.
