Technical Analysis

Trakindo offers a ran­ge of technical inspection and maintenance programs for each customer. These programs hel­p Caterpillar users determine the appropriate maintenance schedules for their equipment, preventing costly repairs and sudden breakdowns. Planned Component Replacement The PCR program creates schedules for overhauls and pre-failure component replacements. The possibility of component breakdowns and related damage is minimized and equipment downtime reduced. Special prices are given if the parts are exchanged under the Parts Exchange Service. Parts Exchange Service (PES)

   A range of rebuilt parts is available from Trakindo's Parts Department and customers can exchange their worn out parts for rebuilt ones. This program helps customers minimize maintenance costs because the price of the rebuilt parts is far less than the price of new parts. All PES parts are guaranteed to be of the same quality as new components.

Custom Track Service

   Custom Track Service mechanics make scheduled visits to customers' job sites to check the undercarriages of their tractors and track loaders free of charge. The results of these inspections are analyzed and a written report submitted to customers. These reports can be used to schedule component replacements or component rebuilds. Similar services are available for buckets, blades and all ground engaging tools. These field inspections benefit customers because they enable the appropriate maintenance and prompt replacement of worn components.

Custom Hydraulic Service

   Today's machines rely on 'healthy' hydraulic systems for maximum productivity. Because hydraulic system efficiency can erode by up to 20 percent before the operator detects a problem, Trakindo recommends all hydraulic-intensive machines undergo a Custom Hydraulic Service inspection twice a year or every 1,000 hours. Trakindo technicians have been specially trained to perform these inspections.

Service Contracts

   Service contracts can consist of regular visits for the inspection of a single unit, special training for a customer's mechanics or a comprehensive maintenance package covering all vehicles and equipment. Service contracts allow Caterpillar customers to plan their maintenance costs and help guarantee professional maintenance standards.

CAT Care Meetings

   CAT Care Meetings give customers the opportunity to meet with Trakindo representatives and mechanics on site. These meetings help familiarize customers with their machines and ensure an optimum return on their investment in Caterpillar equipment. CAT Care meetings also cover safety issues and other important topics.
